FROM CHAN CHAN TO THE HUACAS

TOURIST ITINERARY

INTERNAL MOBILITY

It is proposed that environmentally friendly vehicles should be used for internal transport, following established visitors’ itineraries at fixed times. This will enable more traditional tourists to travel the long distances between the museum centre and the various buildings in tranquillity, then continuing on foot once they reach their destination. In particular, Chan Chan’s beauty is hidden away in the wide spaces between the various buildings, the green areas to the north and northwest, and the high ground to the south overlooking the sea and the huacas. All these zones can be easily visited using horses.
Equitourism is currently an increasingly popular method for visiting archaeological and cultural parks. Horse riding allows an in-depth visit, conducted along routes and at speeds that enrich the exploration and discovery with personal sensations.
